Sandbags

These heavy duty sandbags have been designed to secure crop covers and are ideal if the covers need to be removed regularly for weeding or hand harvesting. They are 270mm wide x 1000mm long. It is best to fill them with clean gravel as it makes them much cleaner & easier to handle in wet conditions. Available in boxes of 200 and will last 8-10 years.

Crop Cover Pegs

These are exceptionally strong pegs designed by Crop Solutions to secure Insect Nets and Bird & Hail Nets. They can be hammered into very hard ground conditions and will last 8-10 years.

 

Crop Cover Machinery

The MK4 system consists of a separate Rolling Machine and Unrolling Machine which has been designed for larger growers, handling over 40 acres of crop covers per year. Both these machines have hydraulic Headstocks so they can handle any type of crop cover new or used with a core length of up to 5.2m long and up to 25m wide.

In May 2015 Crop Solutions launched a new lower cost MK1 Fixed Frame Crop Cover Rolling Machine which has been designed for smaller growers handling 5 to 40 acres of crop cover per year. It can roll up or unroll any type of crop cover with a core length of up to 2.5m long and up to 25m wide. Unlike the bigger MK4 machine is does not have a hydraulic headstock so therefore can only unroll new covers with a core length up to 2.5m long. However it can roll up nets 25 x 200m onto it own 2.3m box section cores and unroll them again the following season.
