Delica
Number one in the export buttercup market. Both Delica and T-133 are similar in appearrance in both shape and size. Delica has an attractive dark green skin with a light green mottle.
Delica offers better vigour and higher yields than T-133, and is more suitable if early sowing is planned.
T-133
A dry "Kabocha" type with reputedly good flavour for the segment of the Japanese market that prefers this squash type. T-133 has often compared more than favourably against other dry types during recent export seasons.
Sowings of T-133 should be confined to the warmest weeks of the growing season.
Terranova "Supermarket"
Long standing variety in the market.
Dark green and hard skinned storage squash that outstores Delica types by several months, and often outstores crown pumpkin types. Growers on some occasions have been able to market these up to November/December.
Greenstone Hybrid
Terranovas Greenstone squash is a dark green Supermarket type squash that offers very good storage potential.
Greenstones vigorous vine produces medium sized and uniform flat shaped fruit that retains it's dark green outer skin colour well.
These attributes combined with its yield potential offer an atttractive alternative for storage squash growers.
